WHY PHOENIX? THE NAME 'PHOENIX' HAS SPECIAL PERSONAL MEANING FOR US.....
In different cultures and beliefs, the legend of the Phoenix has a common element: the desire for transformation and overcoming obstacles. The phoenix is about overcoming darkness and rising to the challenge to become powerful and succeed.
It is linked with stability, peace, wealth, prosperity and general wellbeing. It’s also a symbol of longevity. Both Herodotus and Hesiod reported the phoenix could live up to 90,000 years! It's about new beginnings and being reborn.
For our founders, Phoenix Sport & Media is the symbol of their own new beginnings and life beyond sport and an opportunity to make a positive difference..
